 +Players can still submit scores for any objectives they did complete, even if not all of the required objectives are completed.  Also, players can choose to keep playing, and still complete the other objectives, so combining it with disabling replacement of the rift lab could be useful to avoid players working around it.  If you call endmission every frame, it effectively keeps the player from continuing on, as it will throw up the end mission screen every frame, before time even advances in some cases.
